The Master's thesis work is equivalent to 30 ECTS and a crucial element of the IBC program. It can make a significant difference in a student's final grade.
The Master's thesis can be accomplished in three ways:
- The student obtains a temporary internship in an organization or business to work on a topic proposed by that organization or business.
- The student is offered an internship in an organization or business and then decides on the thesis topic in the course of his or her internship. This could be in collaboration with the organization, or it could be a topic carried out independent of the student's position and work at the organization.
- The student may have a topic in mind or it may be proposed to him or her by an academic member; the thesis can then be pursued full-time independent of an external organization.
A defense will follow later, after evaluation of the thesis. One of the two supervisors has to be an internal faculty member combined with an external or both can be internal lecturers.
